#6 Irrigation Adjustment Project

This was a very small irrigation project. It was not a difficult fix, but it was very important not to let it sit in this condition for much longer. Over time, this irrigation head had been surrounded by burrowing ground squirrels. The tunnels surrounding it have collapsed due to the weight of rough mowers. The ground surrounding the irrigation head is much lower than it once was making this particular head vulnerable to being damaged by mower weight and blades. This picture shows the damage that has already occurred.

The solution to this was fairly simple. We stripped the sod surrounding the head and leveled the dirt underneath. Once the dirt and head were level, we replaced the sod. This will now avoid the damage to the rough mowers.
